LITTLE RICHARD d2020. American singer-songwriter known as the architect of Rock & Roll. One of the early pioneers who helped lay the foundations of the new style of Rock n Roll with his early classic ground breaking hit singles including "Tutti Frutti" and Long Tall Sally during the mid 1950s. An influential figure in popular music and culture for seven decades. His music also played a key role in the formation of other popular music genres, including soul and funk. He has influenced numerous singers and musicians across musical genres from rock to hip-hop. His music helped shape R&B for generations to come and his performances and headline-making thrust his career right into the mix of American popular music. Little Richard died of cancer aged 87 on May 9th 2020
