Description:

1) PETER COOK d1995. Influential English satirist writer and comedian regarded as one of the leading lights of the satirical boom of the 1960s. He established The Establishment Club in 1961 and was a major financiar and contributor to Private Eye magazine. His TV / Film credits include ; Beyond The Fringe / Not Only But Also / Goodbye Again / The Wrong Box and Bedazzled in 1967. Alcoholism blighted his later career.

2) DUDLEY MOORE d2002. English actor, comedian, composer and musician. He first came to prominence as one of the four writer-performers in Beyond The Fringe during  the early 1960s and became famous as half of the popular television double-act he formed with Peter Cook. His fame as a comedic actor was later heightened by his success in Hollywood movies , such as 10 with Bo Derek and Arthur in the late 1970s and early 1980s, respectively. He was often known as "Cuddly Dudley" or "The Sex Thimble", a reference to his short stature and reputation as a "ladies' man".

3) DUSTIN HOFFMAN autograph. American film and TV actor known for his versatile portrayals of antiheroes and vulnerable characters. He made his breakthrough in the 1967 film classic The Graduate playing Benjamin Braddock, the subject of Mrs Robinsons advances. Since then Hoffman's career has largely been focused on cinema, with sporadic returns to television and the stage. His most notable films include ; Midnight Cowboy / Straw Dogs / Papillon / Marathon Man / Kramer versus Kramer / Tootsie / Rain Man and Hook. He has won two Academy Awards for Kramer and Rainman. He made his directorial debut in 2012 with Quartet ...

An interesting combination of signatures double mounted for fine display with photographs.

CERTIFICATION ; From a fantastic collection of visitors books dated between the mid 1960s to the mid 1980s, containing literally hundreds of celebrity signatures. The visitors books were collected by the staff and employees of Barclays Bank at Heathrow Airport during this period ; we assume this branch must have been located in or close to the VIP lounge. The autographs are almost all dated, many include the addresses of the signers and collectors notations / stamps by the original (bank employee) obtainers. There are also references to the bank and quality of service by some of the signers. By the very nature of the books the signatures really authenticate themselves and provide a fascinating insight and mix of famous British and American names of the period.
