PHIL LYNOTT d1986. Legendary frontman of the highly successful Irish rock group Thin Lizzy first formed in Dublin in 1969. The band are best known for a succesion of classic rock anthems including ; "Whisky in The Jar" (1972) / "Jailbreak" / "The Boys Are Back In Town" and for using innovative twin lead guitar harmonies. The group experimented with many lead-guitar lineup changes over the years including Scott Gorham (1974-1983) / Brian Robertson (1974-1978) / Gary Moore d2011 (1974 & 1978-1979) and Snowy White (1980-1982). Their album "Live and Dangerous" was voted in 2004 by Classic Rock Magazine as the best live album ever. During his last years Lynott battled his demons with alcohol and drug addiction. He died on 4th January 1986 aged just 36
