In response during the latter part of the decade the early UK artists started to appear including ; Tommy Steele / Cliff Richard / Marty Wilde / Adam Faith / Billy Fury and Joe Brown. The 1950s gave way to the 1960s, now widely regarded to be the greatest decade ever for pop music and cultural change. The 1960s produced British Invasion / Motown / R&B / Surf & Psychedelic Rock / Roots & Hard Rock / Accapella and Folk & Protest musical genres.
